Common questions

How do I set it up?

Install Pixley Link Router, then set it as your default web browser in System Settings › Desktop & Dock › Default web browser. From then on it receives your link clicks and forwards each one to the browser you chose. It never renders web pages itself.

Does it work with browser profiles?

Yes. Beyond choosing a browser, you can route to a specific profile, such as Work Chrome versus Personal Chrome. It works with Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Chromium, and Firefox profiles. The first time you use profile routing, Pixley guides you through installing a small helper it needs to open a specific profile.

How does the plain-English rule feature work?

Type what you want, like “open Slack links in my work Chrome,” and Pixley turns it into a rule. It uses Apple Intelligence running entirely on your Mac, and it always shows you the change before applying it. It requires a Mac that supports Apple Intelligence.

What if a rule can't be applied?

The link still opens in your main browser. Pixley is built to never lose a link, so if anything goes wrong it falls back to your default rather than dropping the click.

Is any of my data collected?

No. Pixley makes no network connections and collects nothing. Your rules and links stay on your Mac. See the privacy policy for details.
